  • FEELER WTB: 7/8 -18 RH and LH taps and WONTON reamer.

READ THE TITLE. Seein if i should go wonton. doing it myself or buying a kit. Right now i am at about 100 if i do it myself. but if i gotta buy tools i think it might get expensive.

that left hand tap alone in price makes it not worth the price of doing it yourself. Also tapping something this big is a whore. I think I paid something like 10-20 bucks a piece for the threaded inserts, dont remember where though. About 90$ at napa for the tie rod ends(85 k5 blazer), and 20 at the local scrapyard for the neccesary tubing. My buddy paid 100$ for the reamer, thanks pal. Hope this helps, just measure twice, cut once as I ended up too short my first try and had to buy more inserts

If your going to do a lot of them then it might be worth buying a tap and reamer if not find someone to do it for you.

Taps are around $80 and reamer is another $80-100.
So a lot cheaper just buy a kit if you are only going to do your jeep.
