the handle/latch assembly on the rear hatch? the little tab the handle uses to press down on the interior assembly snapped on mine and i cant open the hatch from the outside anymore...so i suppose the whole little assembly is what i need

it comes out from the inside if you take off the inside trim..big access hole. or at least you should be able to get it out of there..thats how i get to it to manually open the hatch
