ok i know you guys wont belive me but i could figure out how to do an axle swap but i have a lack of tools. I should invest in some tools which i think im going to before i start to really build my jeep. and i think would rather put a d44 in then the 60. and i was going to charge the guy extra money to drive to mass its only an hour 25 minutes.

You should buy Wills D44, its a great start to a build.

Could i use my new rims on a 8.8 ? what are the normal bolt patterns for them.

8.8 out of a 95 plus explorer. yes the bolt pattern is 4.5x5.

maybe. will i have to move the shock mounts ?

yeah and leaf spring mounts, it is not bolt in. Thats why I suggested Wills 44, bolt in locked and geared(well you might have to regear it but no biggie.
