Bought a bigger welder - no use for this.

Has half a roll of 0.035 flux core in it.

any issues with the gun assembly or the trigger?

Feeds fine. Doesn't stop/start or anything like that.

I've only used it with flux core wire. Never with solid core and gas. So if something's messed up there I'm not sure.
