  • 1999 XJ - $1400

    Bought this one with the intent to daily drive it and sell my silver XJ. Turns out that's not going to happen.

    1999/4.0/AW4/NP231/HPD30/8.25

    Compression (Dry Test) Results;

    #1 - 175 PSI
    #2 - 150 PSI
    #3 - 0 PSI
    #4 - 0 PSI
    #5 - 178 PSI
    #6 - 185 PSI

    Oil Pressure;

    The oil pressure on this jeep holds right around 40 PSI at a warm idle. No milkshake in the oil at all.

    Current codes the jeep is throwing;

    P0300 - Random Misfire Deteched
    P0132 - 02 Circuit High Voltage (Bank 1, Sensor 1)
    P0135 - 02 Heater Circuit (Bank 1, Sensor 1)
    P0303 - Cylinder 3 Misfire Detected
    P0304 - Cylinder 4 Misfire Detected
    P0442 - Evaporative Emission System Leak Detected (Small Leak)
    P0455 - Evaporative Emission System Leak Detected (Gross Leak/No Flow.)

    The Other Cons;

    - Rear bumper is beat the fuck up. I have no idea how you'd even do that.
    - Rust on rear hatch.
    - No radio (I have a factory radio i can give you.)
    - Rocker panels rusted out.
    - Other random scratches on the jeep. (No dents though.)
    - Surface rust on bottom of doors.

    Pros;

    - If you fixed the rear bumper, the rust on the rear hatch, and the rockers this jeep would be clean.
    - The uni body is super clean. I don't get it. There's not a spec of surface rust on the uni body.
    - Floor boards are totally solid as well. The only rust is where i've mentioned.

    Jeep still runs just really rough.

    Asking $1,400.
    Located in New Milford, CT.
    Can deliver it to you if you're not stupid far away for a reasonable price.

        It has the 0630 head on it already. Second head of that casting that has cracked on me.

        I think I'm going to need to fix it to get what I want for it but even still the 200k miles scares most people.

          You have to be having cooling/overheating problems, no?

            Blue one I bought like that so I have no idea what the PO did to it.

            My black jeep was fine for a year. One day out of the blue it just boiled over. Didnt think much of it, added more coolant, and kept driving. Was fine for months. Then one day it just started eating coolant.
