this is just a feeler for now, trying to buy a new car and it's still my daily
it's a 2000 jeep cherokee. 147k miles
was 2wd but now has a 4wd AW4, 231 tcase with SYE, lpd30, front xj shafts front and rear. i have the tcase shifter it just needs linkage and to be screwed on. 4wd works.
29 spline 8.25 rear axle with new brakes last year
set of 16" Icon wheels that i bought from Will, could use tires now
new starter, new valve cover gasket, new battery, current coolant flush with all new hoses and thermostat. head is in good shape as well. rockers, floors all perfect
the bad: before i bought it the jeep was broken into so it needs a new drivers door lock, the drivers window regulator works perfectly but when it reaches the top makes a noise till you let go of the button. never felt the need to replace it. rear bumper has surface rust but i may sand and spray paint it.
has a vibe, either needs tires balanced or aligned or a u-joint
sputters on me while driving once in a while. i think it may be a dirty sensor or spark plug issue. i drive it daily still
suspension has seen better days but i would fully expect whom ever buys this to lift it and bounce it off of rocks anyway. i'd be proud to see a one ton/chop/cage build out of this thing
IT DOES HAVE A REBUILT TITLE because the rear quarter is dented and front was repainted, previous owner was in a minor accident so the grill, fender and hood were replaced. no frame damage underneath. i also have the original color matched flare as well as a new black replacement flare that i haven't installed.
it is still registerable with the title and does not affect it. i've registered it in NJ, NY and now Maine without an issue. would be perfect for a trail rig or even daily driver with a little lovin.
comes with any and all xj parts i have laying around. shackle relocation brackets, axle shafts, full dash, steering column, fender flares, shocks, extra steering, might have some bilstein 5150s and plenty more.
