The torque converter clutch on this chatters when unlocking, so at the bare minimum it needs a torque converter. Your guess is as good as mine as to how much of those clutch bits are floating around in the trans ruining the rest of it.

Great running truck otherwise, find a cheap used tranny and throw it in for a great tow rig.
