  • VERY healthy chevy 355 engine, under 2K miles on it

Hey all. This is a chevy 355 motor, and should be good for about 375-400 HP as it sits. This is almost a 100% complete drop in engine. Includes everything intake to oil pan, front accessories, and even the entire MSD distributor and ignition wire setup. Just add your own carb and exhaust and you are good to go! Heres the specs on the engine...

-70's high nickel 4 bolt main block (strongest one) bored .30 over, 2 piece rear seal
-Eagle rotating assembly: new crank, eagle I beam rods, hypereutectic pistons, all new bearings
    -Melling HV oil pump
-Trick flow 23* 195CC aluminum heads (62CC combustion chambers gives about 9.5:1 compression with pistons)
-Comp cams camshaft, .494/.494 lift (Unsure of exact specs. Can get cam card)
    -New lifters & pushrods
    -Roller rockers (proform?)
    -Edelbrock RPM air gap manifold
-All front accessories including chrome powermaster alternator
    -MSD distributor and wires

I can't stress how awesome of a deal this is guys. I was there throughout the entire buildup of this engine, and helped with most of it. I know what went into it and the cash spent to build it. It has only run a max of 2000 miles, and has sat in storage most of the time. Unfortunately, the car is half apart and it cannot be started, but I assure you this is a strong runner, and it is what I say it is. This is worlds above any GM crate motor you will buy out of a jegs catalog, and the cam used to shake the entire car while idling. It's a bit dusty from sitting with the hood off, but it will shine up very nicely. Asking $2000, and local pickup only. Feel free to come check it out in person if you'd like, and please ask any questions you have. I am selling this for a good friend of mine and do not know every spec off the top of my head, but if you need to know any info, I will ask him and get back to you ASAP.

The car was set at 7 PSI through a turbo. The motor was broken in correctly for about 500 miles with no boost, and then the turbo was added...however it was a carbed blow through setup and my buddy never got it to work quite right with the turbo. The amount of times the engine actually did see positive boost can be counted on one hand. There was a wideband A/F gauge installed as well and very careful attention was paid to keep it rich and have low timing while trying to tune it for the boost. The car was basically driven leisurely a few times every summer, and then put away for the winter. The whole reason for removing it is because my buddy is going with an LS motor with fuel injection and better tuning so he can actually use the turbo lol. I assure you it's a very strong runner with no issues.

I actually fabbed this entire turbo kit up and did the V-bands on the headers. This particular car was over at J&M at one point (years ago) when it had the old log manifold setup on it. The owner of the car had some disagreements with the owner over at J&M though I guess, and the car has not been driven much in the mean time due to other priorities!

The owner is a douche bag and we had our falling out as well. I'd never bring a car there. EVER. He can't tune shit and sends cars out running like complete shit.

LMAO....well I guess we can agree on that! My experiences have not been great over at J&M either!
