i bought another vehicle for a daily driver and plan on buying a TJ again so up for sale is my 2001 XJ sport. Auto / 182k miles)
The good -
last year they made an XJ
the motor block/head is older non-cracking style! no need to worry about expensive head/motor repairs.
Motor was put in 10,000 miles ago and at the time was gone through and following replaced. rear main seal, oil pan gasket, valve cover gasket, water pump + gasket, thermostat+gasket.
Also new :
battery (like 2months old, includes 3yr free replacement warranty.
Alternator
Starter
Serpentine belt
sparkplugs
power steering line
both headlights
Tires are new Firestone Winterforce
coolant completely drained and filled
transmission fluid flushed/filled.
oil change done every 3k miles with synthetic 5w30
also new as of 3/10/2013
all four shocks replaced with Monroe sensa-tracs, steering stabilizer replaced, front swaybar end links replaced , front swaybar bushings replaced, water pump replaced, headlight mod done (relay mod to make them much brighter), blue strobe lights wired up in grille. Comes with 2 brand new HD leaf springs waiting to be installed. New muffler and tailpipe from cat-back
brakes are good / auto transmission shifts great / 4wd works great
its got power windows, power door locks, nice cd player (aftermarket), Grand cherokee seats in the front, tinted rear windows/hatch, heated rear window/rear wiper.
The bad :
hood and hatch have some dents.
needs rear wiper motor
power door locks dont work
exhaust leak, pipe needs to be welded up (its quiet in jeep still)
occasional 02 sensor code, comes and goes (passed emissions last month, good till 2014) (due to exhaust leak)
small vibe on highway, has been this way since ive owned it, havent pulled driveshafts yet to see which once causes it, hasnt gotten worse in 12k miles.
Im being as honest as i can so no surprises. I've been driving this daily all winter, have my eye on a new jeep so need to offload one of my vehicles! Looking for $3500 obo

Anyone in the market for an XJ check this one out. 3500 obo. MANY NEW PARTS, not rusted out at all, cleaned weekly in the winter time to keep it that way. This jeep needs another owner who will take care of it!
