  • 99 cherokee chassis feeler

Welp I came across a good deal and bought this. A 98 cherokee with a 5 speed, rust free.

This will overtime replace my 99. Sort of a do over if you will with my new found knowledge since Ive gotten into jeeps. Its a little early to tell exactly what will be on it when Im done with it but depending if someone wants it and if they want certain things to go with it we could work something out. Some highlights:

front frame stiffeners welded on (I will cut off my welded on track bar brackets but will grind the welds smooth so another can easily be welded into place.

Im expecting to leave the running engine and tranny in, if I take anything it will most likely be the intake.

    Roll bar setup inside

    Ill leave the rear bumper

Id include the prototype tube doors I first made for it.

2x6 box rockers welded in place

2x6 angle welded in lace of the factory front crossmember and tied into the front unibody stiffeners.

    unibody stiffeners welded in

some of the rear rails have been lines with angle iron.

Id be tempted just to leave the roof rack with it and the rear quarter panel guards since I had to drill holes in the body for those anyways.

    The rear quarters are tucked

This thing has its bumps and bruises but is still overall a pretty solid chassis and would make a good dedicated wheeler. I will obviously be taking my axles and suspension. The stock front lower control arm mounts have been cut off for the long arms. This will be a process as I prep the 98 to accept all of my parts. In one day I will take everything off at once and get it up onto my trailer. So I can deliver it, depending where I would ask for gas money obviously to get it there. If no one wants it then Ill bring it to the scrap yard and get some money that way. Im not gonna put a price on it because it could vary if someone is really interested in it and wants to keep certain things on it. So if you have questions you can pm me.

Well the cost depends on what you would wanna keep on it and what I take off of it haha, so let me know what you would want out of it and shoot me an offer.

Im gonna let this role for awhile and let everyone get a chance to look at it and see what..if any offers arise and see the money to time ratio in taking stuff off of it. But if someone is really go on it i may put a rush on the process.
