xj quater panel armor

got a set of brand new OR-FAB rear quarter panel armor. fits 84-01 XJs.

they go for $250 new not incuding shipping (they are heavy)

if its anything like mine, i mounted my armor with self tapping screws and its been on there for 5.5 years. cheap shiat at home depot...cant tell from the pic though if that would work, the holes look big

they didnt come with hardware but i can get some free at work. the holes are 1/4 i think. i can measure when i get home.

i wouldnt trust self tappers with these. they are pretty heavy

I used some shortish bolts and some fat ass fender washers, mine are sturdier than the rest of the body that's for sure.

how heavy could they be? whats the material thickness..11 self tappers spreading a load should be no issue regardless ..then again mine have 21
