Have a mint 2000 xj for sale, ONLY 107,000 miles, no rust at all, no holes. clean. absolutely clean. EXCEPT for a tiny half sized penny surface rust spot starting on the bottom of the drivers door. Tinted stock windows, black cloth interior, completely stock other than the taillight protectors that actually are really nice. Only thing in the interior is one tiny cig burn in one of the seats and the headliner needs to be replaced. But I pulled one at chuck n eddies thats in perfect condition that will go with it. Also, the rear defrost stays on so i got a relay for it too if need be. The unlock lock button doesnt work, but i got the whole control for the drivers door to put in.
THE CATCH: it basically needs an engine. I bought it because I thought it only needed a head gasket change, but it turns out that the previous owner ran it too much with mixed oil and coolant and messed the crankshaft up. Oil pressure drops like a mofo. It runs and drives. Everything else works except for that. I just rebuilt it, so it has a new head gasket , new valve cover gasket, new exhaust mani gasket and new belt. It has brand new tires on it, xept the back right loses air pretty quickly for some reason and I took a quick look but didnt see any punctures or anything.
The guy i bought it from told me it got a new thermostat, new water pump, new ac compressor. Also has new brakes and a brake line. So it's a great deal if u have an engine or wanna rebuild it.
Selling for $1600 FIRM. new tires themselves are probably around 400 and then the parts and clean ass car itself takes care of the rest. reply to this thread or call/text me at 860.573.3958. If it wont sell here, then it will go to craigslist in a few days. I want to see one of our guys get it before some random guy does. I just dont have the time to fix it after i just did the head gasket and found out that it needed that, or else i would def fix it and keep it for myself. But I cant because of school...:/
