  • Hitch/gas tank skid.

I have a hitch welded on a gas tank sid for sale. The skid is from a ZJ so this will fit 97+ XJs. Skids scratched but not bent, no rust. $100

Can i see a picture of it? Or a link to who makes this? A little confused as to why a gas tank skid is welded to the hitch.

I was putting the hitch and skid up by my self so it was easier to put a bead on them to put it up. Ill get pics tomorow.

Very interested. Any hardware with it or did you just zip it off with the grinder?

how far is it from fitting on a 96? would i have to do a ton of fab in order to get it to fit or could i just make some small adjustments?

Look in my build thread to see what I had to do to make a 97+ skid fit on my 96. it wont fit width wise since the 97+'s use a different gas tank. The bolt holes wont line up either. It was a royal PITA. Honestly, I would just go and buy the JCR one for sale right now then do that all over again. But if you decide to do it, I can tell you what I did in more detail.

Alright thanks. I honestly just can't see dishing out 180 bucks on a piece of bent metal. Imo that's just a rediculous amount of money for a skid. I'd like to find a factory xj one in the jy or build one before shelling that out. Thanks tho.
