basically if u have a toyota or a honda, we always recommend doing the water pump when u change the timing belt. preventatitve service and upselling.

People forget that its my job as a parts pro not only to get you the right parts, but also sell as much shit as possible. I have turned $60 transactions into $200 ones, pretty much by smooth talking and bullshiting. It's my job.

I just hate it when i do my job, make some more money, then this bum wants me to give him shit for half price or free. Of course i'm not, that cuts into my sales numbers.

Sad part is they usually get a discount.

I was trying to buy a tie one day and this dumbass kid in front of me was trying to barter with the manager over a pair of boardshorts, two shirts, and a hat. The manager told him at least 5 times that he couldn't make deals but the kid kept trying. How hard is it to get it through your little head that retail prices are set by corporate and the piss on managers/employees have no say in the price?
