  • Firefox vs. Google Chrome

I've had Firefox for a few years, and been having lots of problems lately. Somebody suggested I go to Google Chrome, and I immediately thought about you guys. Should I switch? Is there something even better that's easy to use? Opinions please...

I personally like firefox better, but after 10 minutes you won't really know a difference. They're pretty similar when it comes to basic browsing needs.

Thanks. People were saying Firefox is the reason for the glitches, but I don't seem to get glitches much for other sites. Mostly facebook.

firefox has always struck me as being kind of unstable. But I like it better than most other shit. I don't do well with change.

Internet Explorer to me is Unstable because it doesn't fucking work half the time. The only reason I have Firefox now is because IE would constantly crash.

I use IE because my laptop gestures didn't work and it auto syncs my mobile me bookmarks. Feels to me to be the same as firefox from when I used it

chrome is a basic, dumbed down, hard to exploit, very fast, browser. I use it as my main browser.

Yea, it tells me when it needs updated and asks my permission to do so.

Do you mean Adobe Flash Player? Yes, I update that too.

I think most of the problems are fb games related. My flash player kept crashing despite me updating it. Hasn't happened for a while though.

I also have Norton doing tasks just about every day. Registry clean-ups and such. And I defrag almost every night when I go to bed. But my #1 problem now is I need more RAM. Ugh!

LOL @ reg clean ups and defragging all the time.

set norton to auto update / protect and forget about it
dont bother with reg cleanups unless you install / uninstall tons of junk (seldom needed)
and defrags are almost never needed, unless you move or delete tons of files daily, even then todays hard drives are so fast its a moot point
