  • Bill Moore Lake Run 07/24

I didn't see a trail report section so I'll post this here. (move if need be)

So we headed up to Bill Moore Lake out of Empire Colorado. We took the harder route by taking Red Elephant over to Mill Creek then out to the lake where we camped. It took us about 5 hours to go 15 miles Red Elephant Ranks a 6 on trail damage an can pose a challenge to smaller tired rigs like mine. (31's) A couple guys needed a tug over a couple spots so I felt pretty good about not needing one.

The high lite of the trip was being woke up at one in the morning by a wolf howling close to camp.

    Heres a few shots:

Yes they are. They are from the early stage developement. That rig is badass, it sits on 37's has a full cage an atlas t-case and anything else you could dream of.

Automatic Ammunition Dispenser? The kind where it says "Insert Rocks Here" and .223 comes out of the other side??

That was Red Elephant right out of Downieville it now ranks 6 on trail damage.
Another challenging way up is trail 183.1 out of Empire, it is more direct and a shorter way into Bill Moore.
