This was a 5 Million Dollar 135 Ton machine I was on for a long time. It's called a MT720 Roadheader by Sandvik in Austria. This machine has a diesel engine but it also runs on electric and we ran it on electric. Each drum has 180 Carbide Tips, cab is pressurized. Badass piece of equipment. In the pics I'm using the boom to load the rail carts we used to transport the machine into the tunnel where we would be using the machine. Working in a tunnel was quite an experience, sometimes they would blast with dynamite. The sound and shockwave that ran through the tunnel after the blasts went off made for such a rush, got the adrenaline flowing! Sometimes I'd be in the cab of this thing cutting rock for 16 hours straight!

Unless someone in her runs the mega strip mining equipment they use mostly in europe i think youve got us all beat.
