Well here is the story of this lovely build that i got involved with.
Steve (captain insano) called me asking me for a hand grabbing some tires in northern Ct. where i agreed knowing i had nothing better to do. On the way up his transfer case was making some wicked noises but we pressed on any ways.
the tires 49" iroks
We head back to my place to unload them and the transfer case is getting worse so we said whats the worst that could happen? Well we found out when we got to the bar and the driveshaft falls right out of his jeep pulling into the spot. What a great place to break down though i wish i only broke down in bar parking lots. He snapped a ujoint in half and destroyed the dana 35 yoke. The problem you ask? Procomp m/ts his jeep was infested with it. So we got Zullo down to help us where we ended up flat towing it back to my house (big thanks to Zullo btw) Where we found this
Granted the hole was originally half the size it is there but Phil and I decided to pull an office space and smash it some more while blasting out damn it feels good to be a gangster by Getto boys.
Steve and I had a pre arranged deal where he wanted all of the parts off of my xj so we started swapping them over. Upon doing that we came across the worst part we had ever seen put on an xj 1 piece upper and lower control arm drop brackets
This jeep was cursed from the get go. But now it is all rebuilt using rustys long arms, clayton cross member, 4.5" coils and leaf springs, 35" km2s, 44 rear spooled
the old waggy
So steve your jeeps all set. Big thanks to Phil, Fred, Jon, Hawk, and Will
If it would get picked up that would be awesome
