Parental leave

ok so i fond this article about sweden and found it very interesting. I know there are some people on this forum who are fathers and I was wondering if this law had been enacted here if you would have also taken parental leave and what you think about these laws. also people who don't have kids what do you guys think about these laws?Parental leave

I took a week off with my wife with each of our kids. I work for a small company and without me working it would fold up.

under the family medical leave act you have the right to take off time (8 weeks unpaid) here also, but I would DEFINITELY take a year or so off with generous pay when my son gets here
