3D TVs

So I went TV shopping all day yesterday and got a new TV, but thats not important...

While I was shopping I saw that in the 6 months I have been gone technology has advanced a lot. There are 3D TVS NOW!!!!!! and it looks awesome.

Now I actually dont watch a lot of TV except the Discovery Channel and thats about it, BUT that is one of the first channels that is going to have 3D and I think thats just awesome to watch the Discovery Channel in 3D!

and a lot of movies are 3D already, Playstation is apparently working on 3D games and XBOX is suppose to be working on something too. I also think COD would be awesome in 3D.

Am I a complete nerd or does anyone else think this is super cool?

I have also decided that Will needs to get into the 3D technology with HMC because I want to watch KOH in 3D

i saw one of those tvs in best buy last week and sat down and checked it out...it is really cool...but i wouldnt get one until theres a lot more 3d offered

Shooting 3d is one of the hardest things to do filmmaking-wise, I just got done AC-ing a 3d shoot on two Sony EX1's, and I wouldn't mind never shooting 3d again, unless the form factor improves.... Ugh

Oh once everything is setup up properly... to the millimeter, and once the 80pound camera setup has been moved to the proper location and hooked up.... Operating is quite easy.
