although I just saw a few reports that gas is going to be under 3 all summer, you may have been watching FOX news getting the 5 a gallon price

gas won't go up that high.......... if it does it will take longer than a couple months. Even so I doubt it will go over $4/gallon. This happens every spring, experts say this experts say that.... they base those highly in-accurate prices on small trends of prices increasing and are NEVER right

if gas really does go that high, it will cause another market crash.

Gas prices that high make grocery and everything go up. People stop buying as many consumer goods, go into panic mode with their money, basically the same thing that caused the crash two septembers ago repeats itself.

Gas hitting 5 dollars a gallon would be huge, it would affect the price of everything. You wouldn't just pay more at the pump you would pay way more for food, clothes, imported stuff and just about anything that is affected by petroleum consumption somewhere along its journey.

All I can say is I hope it doesnt and it prolly wont.

Ever since the gas spike a few years ago, America doesn't use as much fuel now as we did at that time. There's not as much supply and demand compaired to 2 yrs ago. Prices shouldn't go up that high.
