I am happy to announce that Katie and I are now engaged after 6 and 1/2 years of being together. Yes we had rough times, but in the end we pulled through and everything is perfect now.
I spent the last week working with a private jeweler finding the perfect diamond for her. In the end we found a triple EEE (excellent all around, the best you can get) and had it over night from Chicago, found the right setting and then I proposed to her last night. She really deserved the best, she is the only girl I personally know that would go through all the crap I have put her through and still stick with my dumbass, even through Iraq and Afghanistan.
