A good route to Fairfeild

This Sunday im going to ride my bike down to the M&G. I live outside of Norwich, for reference, and no... i dont want to take route 1 all the way.

Anyways im looking for a good route to travel. I dont want to do extended jaunts on the highway, so back roads are what im looking for. Just looking at the map it looks like my best bet is to head up to middle town and shoot down and over from their.

anyone have any suggestions???? im not familiar with anything west of middletown, lol
