remember to double clutch it. Vin Diesel frowns on granny shifting.

his header still looks like shit though. i skimmed through it and hes running a tial 50mm ewg and a tial 50mm bov.. thought you only needed one or the other.. and an air to water ic which is smart bc theres not a lot of room in the engine bay, but i still have doubts about it working as well (or as worse) as a normal air to air ic on the trail. meth would def be ideal in this situation, no? anyway i know a decent amount about turbos but not enough to really judge his setup. its something i'd like to do eventually to my next jeep.

              any thoughts? dave? alex? chris?

a ewg-iwg an a blow off valve are two different things. a wastegate is just a valve that opens once the boost is reached to keep the turbo from makein more an more boost.

a blow off valve isnt even actually needed an its better not to have on cars with a maf,but it works fine with map cencers like jeeps. all it does is it is a vale too but on the cold side, in between the turbo an intake manifold. normally if you dont have a bov when you let off the throttle the throttle body snaps shut an all that pressure has no wear to go an sometimes it will go back through the turbo an make it spin backwards, called compressor surge. what the bov does is just open when u get off the gas lettin all the air out so u dont have copressor surge, it doest have anything to do with boost leval or what the actuall wasegate does.

i like this setup alot, its pretty clean.

but someone on here should do a 1.5jz. 1jz block 2jz head. rev to 10k be insane.

might as well run a 2jz per wheel

lots of unsprung weight, but no drivetrain loss

seeing that dave turdo'd his and then we turbo'd mine, mine took like 2 weekend and mine is still holding up fine. granted mine is not intercooled yet but my set up is much simpler.

Its very nicely done. Fitment is great and the components are great. Its a great job. I like the air to water.
