Generally I do not like typing long threads, but I had to share this story....
So one of the sites I work with is a Shadow Platoon and I was down there last night helping them get ready for launch and Sgt Kane who is one of the funniest people I have ever met starts telling me this story. Apparently his wife is a nurse and from time to time tells him about certain stuff that happens. Well the other day when he spoke to her on the phone she told him this story....
So the other night they got a older gentlemen in from Malnutrition and Dehydration. Normally this is wam bam and they are out after some vitamins and IVs. Well the police report that accompanied this particular case was unusual to say the least.
So there was this family that had a son with Down Syndrome, they worked with him really hard all growing up so when the time came he could move out on his own and live somewhat of a normal life. Finally the time had come. They found him an apartment right down the street so they could stop in and check on him from time to time.
One day the mother called to see how the son was doing. During the conversation he said he has a troll that keeps bothering him and eating all his food. Since he has down syndrome the mother just figured it was an imaginary friend and didnt think anything of it. A week later she called and he then annouced that the Troll was being very bad and he had punish it. With this annoucement the mother decided she should go check on him. When they got to the house she asked where the Troll was and the son said he had him locked in the closet in his room. So they walked in and he had built a barricade with his dresser and shelves and there was clearly something in the closet that wanted out extremely bad. So the father helped move everything and they opened the door and a older midget came out extremely pist off!
What happened was the midget was a Johavah Witness that had come to the door to try and shed the light of Johovah on the son with Down Syndrome. When the son opened the door he thought it was a Troll, snatched him up and kept him hostage. When the "Troll" got bad he decided to lock him in the closet. He was in the closet for 6 days.
The judge then ruled that the boy at the move back in with his parents.
