  • Anyone sick at painting camo?

So. Camo is my favorite color. Just badass ya know?

So I was out on my bike today, ripping through some snow and I kept dropping it. And i'm like man, when it warms up i'm gonna give this thing the sickest rattle can paint job. Then, BAM! Camo.

I was thinking like white, grey, black camo cause I think the green version would like too like, hunter/offroad kinda thing, the white version would be awesome. so I googled it and found this pic.

    Bad fucking ass.

    So anyone good at this?

is your bike caged or does it have sliders? Or have you just wrecked the fairings?

All the drops have been pretty slow and haven't really done anything to the fairings, the left side is cracked but it's bondo'd and I sprayed it. the right side nothings really wrong cept the clutch lever snapped and the bar ends scratched and the stator cover is a little gouged.

        Runs like a champ though.

I wanted to spray the plastics then get a sick innovations cage.

                    http://www.instructables.com/id/Urba...-camoflage-ai/

Looks really easy. Ive painted lots and lots of camo, but on a much larger scale ( jets) and used a HVLP spray gun. In the video he air brushes it. Ive never air brushed, but it looks to be pretty close to spraying.

Painting camo when you only have two colors to worry about is really easy, but you follow similar techniques as if you were painted multiple colors.

                    my buddy painted these

just lay down your base color first.

Im guess fairings are fairly small, all of them would be removed from the bike when you painted them?

Like most autobody and painting, 90% of it is prep work.

Drew, you just gave me the best idea! instead of painting it get camo vinyl.

I just googled urban camo vinyl and found a cool website, mostly hunting designs but a couple cool ones.

                      I picked two... This one

                      or this one.

Someone actually showed me a honda CRX that the guy had the whole thing wrapped in vinyl rather than repainting it. It actually looked really good.

Check these out. They actually have a GSX-r on there specifically.

                            Nevermind, you found it
