You are aloud to have your opinion because the people that fight for your freedom and Im ok with that.

When you are in a helicopter 60% of the time you dont get shot at, you are doing the killing so the people on the ground dont get fucked in the ass the next corner they turn. If it was me I would of shot them too, at war you dont have time to second guess your decisions, that extra second you take could be the matter of life and death. Like I said though, its like telling the blind what seeing is like. You would never understand.

You don't understand what that hostile target means to those gunners. They represent the haji that was launching rockets at your team earlier, or the motherfucker sporting an AK on the ground that was shooting at your best friend. Whether you think war is right or not, those soldiers are over there are doing a job that they were trained to do.

Just a little side note that I thought was funny. I work with a guy Dave, super smart guy has a Masters in Electrical engineering. When he got here several months ago, there was huge fights and a full bird was even going to have him sent home because his views on the war, the military and what we are doing over here. He came here only to make the money, and he is out in a couple months. He is still a liberal tree hugging obama loving bastard, but he has a completely different view on what is going on over here. Some of the things he has realized is everything he has seen in the media is complete bullshit. He told me he thought he would come over and hope that he could Help the nationals, maybe make afghanistan a better place for them. Now I dont think anyone talks more shit about Haji than him after he has seen some shit how it actually is.

The reason I brought this up was because our Government liason was in here today and brought this video up and I thought oh shit, here we go. Dave is going to go off on the murder and how military are all shit heads.... nope, he said those film guys were asking for it. They were obviously walking in a group of guys with guns in a war zone and expected to be fine. CNN interviewed a retired General just recently to answer questions about the video. Turns out, the video is taken completely out of context. Firefights just like this had been happening for days previous, and this particular engagement had been going on for 4 hours. So, naturally, they were looking for armed insurgents.

Also, the two reporters weren't wearing proper identification, which made them appear to be insurgents.
