If you paid attention, you would have known that the orders were called in by ground troops, that WERE being fired upon.

Look at 4:15 and tell me what it looks like. To me, it looks like some arab motherfucker peeking his head around the corner with an RPG in his hand, hiding from the chopper. Should the gunner wait until a rocket is in the air, endangering his entire team before he opens fire?
