That and console gaming just isn't what it used to be. Failure Rates of the 360 are so astounding it's amazing the console is still on the Market.

FWIW, I've been abusing my 360 for months now and I haven't heard as much as a peep out of it. The newer systems aren't nearly as prone to failure from what I've heard compared to the older systems. Although I know that doesn't help those who gave up hope because of their previous experiences.

The only precautions I've taken is I got an intercooler that uses a seperate power source(not the old shitty ones that made things worse), and I've kept the console up on a table away from the dust and garbage that floats along the ground.

Yes, I think your the only one here to "really" waste your money.

now i wish my 360 didn't break. So don't make the same mistake i did. If you dont play for over 1 month the xbox gets sad and decides to fail when you want to play. I would recommend massaging it and talking to it softly before proceeding to play after extended times of inactivity.(that's least what a math teacher and track coach at my school recommends.
