I would only suggest this if your XJ came with a D35 from the factory. The engineers at Jeep know what they are doing. Once you start adding things (like new axles, and lift kits), you essentially make your jeep "not stock", and as we all know, that is just not safe for anyone.
we all know "stock" jeeps run better offroad than "not stock" jeeps. why replace it with something stronger? you might as well keep the stock 235 tires as well
well, my jeep came with the 29 spline 8.25 stock, so should i keep it? or find me a dana 35? it seems like the dana 35 is the much better axle
