we actually had to go and see one of the exhibits here on campus about a week ago or so, and today we were talking about it in class and basically the entire class told our professor that we thought it sucked and we were legitimately creeped out by what we saw

I did a water color of Will and Nicole at KOH. It was the first thing in my news feed on facebook to start a sketch from. Overall I am happy with the finish project, although I feel I could of jazzed it up by using crayons first and then the water colors like i learned in kindergarden, but I was pressed for time and wanted to get my submission in before the dead line.

its just like billboards top hot 100...how many of them are really talented??? some guy somewhere says its trendy and BAM. trend. someone somewhere said being a bro was cool and people beleived them. therefore anything can happen.

i just finsihed a watercolor course last spring and the teacher was pretty nuts. she basically just wanted us to understand the different techniques and styles of paintings by asrtists. for papers and interpretations i just pretended to understand why the artist painted in this style or painted this piece. if you can come up with bs answers behind your reasoning then you golden. "the artist using her hair to paint the picture to provide more emotion and meaning behind the painting. when looking at it one might ask how she had such huge brush strokes compared to other paintings and it was the hair that provided this. it also could have possibly provided a emotional outlet for the artist" and then mention that many of the most famous artists were struggling with personal issues where painting was an escape.
one time my teacher had us watch this movie about a women who cut out huge simple shapes and painted them in like 1-2colors just to attach them to a wall. &this women was making big bucks.
after that movie the teacher asked us to listen to 30sec clips from different songs and paint while listening to them according to how we felt while listening to the music. i had no idea what she was talking about and just painted lines and squiggles that resembled the music. im telling you just throw in some random reasoning to why its different and is a useful style

thankfully we dont have to do much drawing or anything in this class...but its just insane how people make a living off of doing such crazy things like cutting out giant shapes

its crazy how people tell you that this stuff is great and you should pay them to tell you to try it. actually you're more or less paying them so you can reverse your schooling mindset and be uncontrollable with your thoughts and creations to produce a not so perfectly designed product.
it is also crazy when you bs your way through class &the teacher tells you that you should choose this path for college....
