  • Battlefield: Bad Company 2

Anybody get this game yet? 360/PS3/PC?

It's been sold out at Gamestop here since the weekend, and they've gotten quite a few orders in that period. I read a couple reviews and some think it's even better than COD.

I got a copy on hold that I'm picking up later so I'll post back what I think.

I've played it and I would say it is not better than COD. Since when your guy runs you get that wobble. Although it may be more realistic. I don't really like the controls that much either. It's still a fun game though. I would rent it instead of buy it.

It all depends on what you like. I have played all the Battlefields from PC to Xbox. I own the first BC. Waiting on them to get the 2nd one over here. It is more realistic. I like the team work aspect of it. I dont really compare them to COD. COD is run and gun, you actually have to use a lil strategy in BC.

Yeah that is true. Team Work is essential in Battlefield.

I just played a few missions on the campaign, and I would have to agree with you.

COD is just more fun, plain and simple.

The things I like: For one, even after only a few missions I can tell the storyline is way better than COD. Everyone knows the main downfall is that the campaign is marginal as best. It's also a little more realistic, considering your team actually does something. Even the firefights are better, high powered weapons/artillery make light work of the buildings surrounding you. I found quite a few times already where I got killed because the walls of the building I was taking cover behind got blown to pieces. It actually takes some thinking as opposed to COD just being a linear path that you have to get through.

The things I don't like: The controls take some getting used to. They are painfully slow, so I turned the sensitivity up. Well, that make things a little jerky. I also find myself getting slightly lost sometimes. The instructions are small and go by quickly during a firefight. I wouldn't mind that so much if I could read the mini-map a little better though. Granted I don't have a huge HDTV that's great for gaming, so maybe that has something to do with it.

Haven't played the multiplayer yet, we'll see how that goes.

If BC2 is anything like the first BC the cool thing about the multi player is the realism. Me and body were playing it for awhile one day and we went way out on top of a mountain to snipe with a .50. Most game you know you shot on target and you hit. We actually had account for the bullet drop over distance and the windage. That was pretty cool.

If you are a big COD fan though you might not like the realism effect though. I love COD but I get tired of the arcade style of it after while and have to play things like BC or Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising to feel like I am actually using my brain lol

Yeah. I love COD multiplayer except MW2 is a little crazy with all the boosting and glitches. People are making a lot of money with their J tagged 360's. Its like 30$ per person. They haven't even tried to patch it, 1 kill in there is equal to 10k. I think IW knew they were going to sell this game no matter what and rushed it a little too much.

I just wish like Evan said that the sensitivity was better in Battlefield.

The glitching has calmed down a little, it was rediculous for about 2 weeks from what I can remember.

Care packages dropping all over the place, 2-3 people on each team using elevators, the rest were pretending to be dead bodies on the ground.

I know the unlimited care package glitch was patched, and I think the others have been fixed. If I know for a fact someone is glitching, I'll just leave. I get a kick out of those fawkers that are on lvl. 70, 10th prestige though. Granted, there are some tools that spend their life on the game and are actually legit on 8-9th prestige. But, who are these other idiots trying to kid? I've gotten a couple messages from random people that offer to do it for me. I just don't understand why you would go and ruin the game for yourself, and everyone else.

Its called boosting. You can do it on modes like Domination. I like accepting the invites because you can blow the whole other team up all at once and it really pisses them of agian. OH WTF MAN! THESSAINT FUCKING RUINED THE BOOSTING AGIAN!!!!

Cody, the multiplayer is actually pretty damn good. I would definetly recommend trying to get it.

Im going to get it, We dont get a large supply of games over here so I have to wait a little bit for them. I just recently got COD:MW2 a couple weeks ago because of the delay.
