when i first got here, it was -19 ambient. the next morning, my jeep barely turned over. i promptly installed and oilpan heater and put 5/30 oil in. all better.
then, i went exploring.

when i got tired of burning all the gas in my truck, i decided to go electric.
before i left i got me one of these:

now shes whats called a fiancee.

back to this:
they put me here as a security system electronics technician, to put it nicely. i fix and maintain the security systems that surround the storage area for the nuclear and conventional weapons for those bombers. it is fucking badass. the other day i got to watch a blackhawk buzz the tower (haha well, flyby) while i was standing on top of it. and then a b52 took off. its cold as fuck here and theres snow everywhere but its pretty cool. the town of minot is 13 miles south yet due to the flat terrain its visible as if it were only a mile away. at night its really somethin to see. i would go as far to say that most of ND's population lives in minot.
thats kind of annoying but the economy here is bustling and there is plenty to do. lots of places to go out and drink or eat. canada is 40 miles north. from what i hear the summers are hot. i cant wait for that. hunting and fishing is huge here as well as dirt sports minus wheeling. theres a motocross track on the outskirts of town. i see a dual sport in my future...
