polar plunge march 20th

ZOMG! I did the Polar Bear Plunge in Maryland for the Maryland Special Olympics. It was awesome!

When I plunged there was ice cubes in the Chesapeake Bay and about 1" or so of snow on the beach! This is truly for a good cause and man was I hesitant at first. But after the rush of jumping into freezing water and the thought of the children I helped made me instantly want to plunge next year.

On top of that when we finished we went into the concert tent to Jam to the house band and there were some of the Special Olympic kids in there dancing and having a good ol' time. That was an awesome feeling.

sOooo we were planning on having scot haney and channel 3 head out there to cover the event and help with publicity, but i just got an email stating they were busy with their own events that day. (i have the clip of haney screaming &going down the zipline if you would like to see it) so is there anyone you would like to see there? this could be a media team, anchor or meteorologist, give me any suggestions and ill do the talking.

also if you would help out in any way by going to this - http://www.connecticutchildrensevent...ar-Plunge.html - link and printing out a flier or you could PM me and i would be happy to send out some colored fliers or our letters addressed to businesses. another idea- you could even challenge your co-worker or boss by donating the money if they jump in.

andddd an incentive to sis members since you all seem to be obsessed over buffalo chicken, for every 8 members that rsvp/donate $10 i will personally buy one XL of THE BEST buffalo chicken pizza you will everrrr eat. trusssssst yaya??

giovannis brick oven in glastonbury.... everyone that has tried it at other places agrees it is the best. ive got a lot of friends from middletown that swore by illiano's til they tried gio's buff chix.

and Lawn Guyland, you can still stop by. im actually alwaysssss freezing as well but i love swimming and needed an excuse for a cliff jump

I'm not much for cold water, but I can think of a couple of people my broke ass would pay tos ee die of hypothermia. I say that with love of course. <3

No cliff jumping though, i screwed that up in bermuda, 35 ft cliff, my dumbass thought doing a cannonball from the height wouldn't hurt well it hurt, bad....

I'm told though, that from shore it was the most epic thing ever seen, more like an asteroid that a cannonball. nice

your lucky, we are only insured for anything up to 30ft. it gets pretty dangerous when you get any higher &ive heard some bad stores- enemas, popped eardrums and hitting cars on their way down.
over the summer some older guy was hanging out on the wooded side of our 80ft cliff drinking beer and listening to the radio. i guess he fell off or wanted to commit suicide and did a back flop. luckily he landed completely parallel and it didnt result in any serious injury. he was just unable to walk for a bit because as soon as we went to pick him up in the boat he was starting to bruise.
