    Internet Fraud

    So I have no been hit by fraud twice. The first time my bank caught it right away when someone tried to use my card(a fake) at a Wal - Mart in New Mexico for $2100.

    Now I was looking over my account because I seemed a little light on cash compared to what I should have.

    Found a few "companies" that have been stealing money out of my account at $30 and $50 transactions at a time.

    Here are there names that appear on my statements

    SUB-SERVICES LTD 8669238613
    INFO@BEST-K-HELP.N NEV SUPPORT
    KRESTCOM-SERV.COM 888-990-4296
    WWW.MAINSTREETCENT SINGAPORE

    They were taking several $30 and $50 transactions out here and there over the last 3 months.

    I called the two with the 800 numbers and im 99.9% sure I spoke to the exact same guy both times! He was in India and told me that the company was based out of the UK and was a 3rd party transaction processor for internet sales. Then he was very fast to say "Sir, if you give me your credit card number, I can look up the transaction for you." Yea, right buddy.

    Now, I very rarely make transactions from the internet and when I do its normally through PayPal or Amazon. So I knew for a fact these were not from either.

    Luckily my bank is refunding all the fraud charges to my account, I just wanted to give you guys a heads up of some things to look for.

    Happened to me in the past few months. I was refunded all my money. I dunno how it happened, but I'm def going to be more careful now.

      I spoke to the fraud specialist at my bank and they were telling me all kinds of crazy shit people do to get numbers. Obviously the internet being the main source, but gas pumps, atm machines, basically anything you swipe a card for they have all kinds of machines to read the numbers and shit.

          Yeah, when this happened I was basically told to never type my PIN into any machine except for ATMs inside a bank.

            Yea, this is crazy! Im about to start using cash only and its like you have to get the cash from the bank.

                ....interesting.

                i'll start pumping my debit card through as credit, i dont get charged extra. this way i dont have to use the PIN.

                      Ive never used Debit, always used Credit. Didnt work for me lol

                        Navy Federal Credit Union. Best bank I have ever dealt with, they are always easy to work with, they always take care of my problems and the rates they give on everything is amazing! Both of my car loans they beat EVERYONE by 3%. Everytime I get a loan for something, they sales person is always like we have great banks you can do this this this blah blah blah and im like ill just use my bank and they are like who is your bank? NFCU, oh. yea. we cant beat them hahahaha

                          fortunately ive never had a problem, but i know people who have. and BOA has been "helpful" and got their money back, sometimes fast, sometimes not. but they never were a hassel to deal with.
