uses the abs system to aid the VLSDs in the axles. its legit. and the WJ had QD1, QDII uses a slightly different way of "locking" the axles. fairly sure the tcase and axles used geroter pumps in the WJs, but the WK uses clutch type LSDs and a VC in the tcase.

wont work in the NE though, too slippery. but anything works on slickrock.

Wrong. QDII uses electronic locker differentials both front and rear to lock the axles within 1/4 wheel rotation of slippage.

Quadra Trac II (whats in my WK) Uses the ABS and Brake system to "lock" the axles upon slippage.

Both systems work great in NH. Ive driven both. QDII Excells in snow conditions too. My jeep with QTII is pretty damn good in the snow but some scenarios with either QDII or QTII its better to turn the system off in the snow... some times.

I have Quadra drive in my WJ. It has LSD's front and rear. I havnt been too impressed with it yet. I'm leaning more towards the fact that Wrangler SR-A's are just awful tires. It spins really easy in the snow.
