Driod Eris

So I got a post card in the mail from Verizon saying i was eligible to upgrade to a smart phone at a discount price. My "new every 2" phone thing isn't for another 6 months and my current phone is kinda teh suckzors so i jumped on it!

Ended up choosing the Droid Eris, for only $79
phone looks sweeeet. its running droid 1.5 BUT verizon is pushing out an update to 2.0 soon

Anyone else have a Droid Eris?? How do you like it? I get my phone on tuesday so im just left here in suspence

HTC makes great stuff so I'm sure you won't be dissapointed. A guy in one of my classes swapped his Droid for this and likes it much better, especially size.

i've heard that this phone is pretty good. the only complaint people have had is that the letters on the screen are a little small, but other than that i guess it's almost like the iphone

thats why i didnt get the droid. I love how the phone works but its a little big and heavy. it has the slide out keypad that i dont even like... so why have it?

when this gets android 2.0 im sure it will be just as good as the droid phone

i was gonna get that phone...and would have gotten it fo free, but an extra $30 a month for data is a little too much out of my pocket

the only complaint i've heard about it is that it isnt as beastly powerful as the moto droid. but it should hold its own pretty well, i've always liked htc's stuff.

That reminds me of this creepy guy yesterday at work. He came in with questions about his iPhone so I asked him what the problem is. He said that certain websites he is going to won't play the video. I go to take a look at his phone saying pull up one the sites and he freaks out saying "IT'S PRIVATE!!!!" I'm sorry buddy, your iphone isn't made to view all the porn sites you can from your computer. He then was all paranoid when I started viewing the bill saying he uses a ton of data and asked if it showed his history.

There is a browser that works on htc phones, something with fire in it, but not firefox that plays flash. Just can't think of the actual name
