So I just made the switch from Verizon to AT&T. Back in I think April or May while i was still in PA, i had just renewed my 2 year with Verizon and upgraded from my G'Zone to the Envy Touch. I moved home with my parents in september where service is shotty but still usable. Last month My girlfriend and I moved into a new apartment where there is ZERO verizon service. I also work where there is no verizon service as well, so my Envy quickly became nothing more than a watch.
In November AT&T put up a brand new tower that i can see from my living room window and now they have full service throughout my area. I really wanted to switch but i was informed that to do so i would have to pay the $175 early termination fee with verizon, and that was really discouraging. Last week i recieved my latest bill from verizon from which i used 0 minutes, 0 texts, 0 data, $75.00 because my phone was on airplane mode the entire time so it wouldnt die in an hour from searching for signal..
So to wrap this vent session up, Friday i decided to head up to the mall in Syracuse and see what i could come up with. I ended up saying screw it and bought a 2 year and 16G 3GS at the apple store and paired my number to the new phone. To my suprise, when i went down to the verizon store to pay the early termination the lady at customer service says "oh AT&T took care of that."
At any rate the iphone is saaweeet and I only pay $5 more than my verizon plan, and i have unlimited data and 1500 text. I also just got this app called mobile air mouse, and it allows me to control my keyboard and mouse for my Mini Mac from my iphone while sitting on the couch.
sorry for the brag session but i'm excited about it.
