OK, this may seem stupid as fuck, but bear with me here.
Left 4 Dead was released in November of 2008 and while the game never said exactly where it took place, there were many elements in the game that hinted at the locale. There is Mercy Hospital is in Pittsburgh, Allegany National Forest is in Southwestern PA and throughout the game, you see Pennsylvania plates on all the cars. There is also a Riverside, PA, but there is a Riverside in almost every state. Regardless, the game blatantly takes place within the state if Pennsylvania. The following superbowl in 2009, SuperBowl XLIII, the Pittsburgh Steelers won, a Pennsylvania team.
Now, months later, Left 4 Dead 2 gets released in November of 2009 and the game is even more blatant about where the game takes place: Down south in the Bayous of Louisiana AND the City of New Orleans itself, specifically the French Quarter: 'The Parish'.
Now the New Orleans Saints are in the Superbowl. If this trend has any fucking meaning to it, the Saints are going to win it. I could be wrong and the Saints may lose to the Colts 49-0, but this is pretty fucking weird to say the least. Maybe I'm thinking to hard while I'm bored here at the shop working overtime, but it just hit me and I had to share.
PS: OK, I know this is just one more sports thread, and I don't even Follow football, but I still think it was too weird not to share.
