    they seem gimmicky to me.

if you want the advantages of an air bump,in air bump style application "packaging", buy an airbump

if you want a "progressive" poly bump stop, they sell those also, and for much less...they just arent in an airbump look-a-like package..

also the process of actually mounting an airbump in the front of an XJ makes me want to play for keeps with something a little more "serious"

even if these were 150 for 2 i wouldnt buy em

    just my opinion.

it seems the people that would buy these, are the people who dont really need or want a true airbump anyway, who would probably benefit from normal poly bumps in whatever form

when i do some kinda fancy air bump or wannabe airbump it wont be going inside my coil either way. lots of work to beef up that stock coil mount for a bump tower to stay straight in there

and my problem with regular ol' poly bumps is deflection. if i hit them straight on all is well

if im flexing they hit at an angle and deform and crack. these would stay straight no matter the angle

its cage or blingin suspension until i sell the manche or get a couple more paychecks piled up. and im going back and forth on each. both will help save my unibody lol

and blown out rough country shocks with lime green shock boots for the win

where do you potentially want to mount them if you go that route?

im battling with in the coil or out of em...

my thread on naxja netted me this interesting idea, unsure if im sold on this

seems a lot of guys have luck in the coil as well, throughout my looking, cept vetteboy.

              upper control arm?

im thinkin about runnin em off the "framerail" to a plate on my lower control arms. i run bushings at the frame end so the arm will always be (relatively) flat upon contact (max flex and hard jump landings) which will result in less side loading of the bump while the flex joint at the axle end will handle all the misalignment.

i havent seen it done on an xj before but i dont see why it wont work.

i would like to midarm 4 link this beast this time around using cushy rubber bushings. SO much nicer at speed than hard bushings and heims. but that is a whole different discussion

i ended up bending my bumpstop towers on the past couple jeeps anyway. i dont really want to fuck with reinforcing that if i can avoid it. just do away with it completely

cut the price in half and i'll pick up a pair. no way in hell those cost a lot to manufacture.
