Fire and Ice has returned

Apparently my jeep fully loaded does not agree with the rocky mountains.



I got it towed to some family friends place in Littleton, CO. Transmission is pretty much gone. Engine still runs hot at 20* so thats on its way out. Not sure what im going to do.

luckily you are in an area with a huge xj presence. tons of naxja, JF, CF guys live around there who prob have a trans for sale as well as be willing to help. keep an eye out on the CO forums as well as craigslist in that area. i'm sure you will find one cheap somewhere. maybe make a wanted thread on naxja or something

So im renting a uhaul truck and trailer. I dont have a ton of experience towing a trailer and i get to traverse the rockies. oy

trailers aren't too difficult. don't try to speed up any grades, don't use overdrive up hills either. take turns wide. be careful backing up. good luck dude! if you need help looking for a trans in the area let us know

thanks guys. im going to try and find an engine too as im pretty sure the head has a crack as well (runs hot after fixing everything else and exhaust smells sweet)
