got an ipod touch for xmas. first apple product i've ever had and can't even get the thing to turn on. trying to install itunes. download installer recommended on the site after download 88mb of shit it tells me i need to download a diff one. download the 64bit installer and my ipod wont hook up with it. install the original 32 bit one and my ipod still wont hook up with it. this is a load of fucking bullshit and i still cant even turn on my damn ipod yet and now my computer is running like shit

i've personally owned ten ipods over the last 6-7 years, i've had 0 failures of any of them. The one i ran over with my jeep continued to work for a couple days. after that the battery crapped out.

I've gone through a couple. Second gen 20gig brick eventually went corrupt. Had a 60 gig iPod, I sold, cause I found out I could get an 80 for the same price. The iPhone and iPod classic are still good to go. Best advice I can give is to not leave them in your car over night in the winter. They do start acting weird when frozen.
