How would using the e-brake destroy your center diff?
The center diff in the subarus are there to compensate for the difference in speed between the axles. when you apply the ebrake causing one axle to stop it heats up the viscous coupler from the huge difference between speeds of the front axle and rear essentially cooking it.

does real rally actually use e-brake? not ken block shit..
absolutely. The handbrake is a huge part of it actually. I was actually looking at travis pastrana's retired STI today, and they had a little controller by the driver's foot. At first I thought it was aboost controller, but at a second glance it looked like a way to direct braking to either front or rear.
