From what I know and have seen most of the AF people are flight line, load masters, aviation division, and then process and admin people. Same stuff in Ballad, Iraq. Ali As Salem, Kuwait and Doha, Qatar & Dubai. If I was you and want to get a sweet gig, get in Doha or Dubai they are green zones and you can go out in town and stuff and there is tons of shit to do down there. If you want to be in theater Ballad is a AF resort in iraq pretty much.. if you wanna come to Afghanistan its either Bagram or Kandahar for you pretty much. If you want to be in the shit as much as youll get for the AF this is the place to be. The surge is so strong into Afghanistan that the bases are EXTREMELY over populated and living space is sparce and its just a mess with construction, over population, and traffic. Mostly everything is getting moved to Afghan though. You should see the flight traffic in and out of here, its NON STOP. I heard its the busiest airport in the world right now.
