  • BMW's "The Hire" Short Film Series

I just recently re-watched these for the first time since they first came out in 2001 & 2002. If you have an hour, I highly recommend watching all eight. Each film was directed by different big-names in the industry, including John Woo and Guy Ritchie; and features lots of A list actors. Clive Owen is the driver in the whole series, and other episodes feature Forest Whittaker, Gary Oldman, Ray Liotta, Don Cheadle, and a bunch of others.

Do watch, and in order. Clive Owen's character develops a bit throughout the series. The 2nd season is more blitz and bang than the first, and some of the episodes contain, I might argue, some of the most fantastic writing and cinematography to grace the interwebs. I recently just finished torrenting the 1.17GB of episodes in DVD quality.

My uncle turned me onto BMWs when I was young with his e28 535i he restored and then right when theses were coming out I got a FREE 85 528e from the original owner that was in amazing shape. I really wish I didn't get rid of it when I started driving the Jeep. I had a second car that I bought with a euro bumper conversion, m5 interior, e36 wheels and some other work that I was going to build up but I traded the two cars to my uncle for tile work
