both of these are for sale at the same place and in very good condition. i can afford both but on the 98 i would have a bit more to pay back to my loan sharks lol.

i'm not going to post a link right now cause i'm not at my computer but they are both at a used car lot near me and i know the owners so i'm hoping to get the price knocked down a little bit.

the 98 is pretty much identical to pete's 99 when he got that

98. for 6 hundos more you get a sweet looking front end and less miles.

always save the little extra cashola for the better bet IMO...and IMO the 98 > 95 in every way for not much more

i like the ease of repair the old body style comes with. parts are more plentiful, electronics are usually easier... but for the price and since its gonna be the DD and NEVER see trails (unless my red xj is too far haha) i might as well get something a little nicer for myself

ive never had a problem finding parts for a newer body style xj when i needed it, FWIW.

the difference in electronics and all that is negligible IMO.

if i had only one as a wheeler i would defs stay with the old body style. replacing tail lights, hatch, front header panel is all so much cheaper. but for a DD i'm going to try for this 98. hopefully going to look at it today after work. if it's already sold... oh well
