  • my brain hurts.....

just for shits and giggles i was searchin around cherokee forum and saw this....a kid was trying to do a 4wd swap into a 2wd

That's a good one. Anyway, just slowly start collecting parts for the swap. A transfer case, a front axle, and front driveshaft (Those are your major components, your have little odds and ends too). All of those can be had from the junkyard or look on craigslist for good deals. Most are just bolt in parts. I'm sure you can find some friendly CF or NAXJA guys that might even have extras lying around they'd be willing to give you. You should really look into it before you start thinking about sliders, its not as hard or expensive as you think.
if he could get away with just buying those parts i'd make any car a 4wd. not to add i feel 10x dumber from reading this shit

or buy a 2wd for next to nothing (there was one on craigslist a few weeks back for $300 in good shape lowerish miles) Spend a couple hundos on parts and a few evenings in the garage and you have a 4wd for wayy cheaper.

i never blamed problems on anyone. just pointed out the fact that it could have been done better. hence why it's being taken off the road as a DD
