    to buy or not to buy

    can pick up a 4.0 ax15 yj that wont start for 1000 bucks. cranks but wont turn over. solid frame. its prob something stupid as why it wont start but i buy it not hearing the motor or trans. axles would be getting swapped so i dont really care about that.

    i hate these decisions

    im not gonna vote cuz i dont see that take the 1000 bucks and look for a cheep "running" jeep option?

      how many miles on the motor? $1000 is what hard doors / tub / frame would be worth parted out to the right people so i say do it. motors can be fixed or swapped for cheap. christ you can get a 4.0L for $200.... i know some one selling a high miles one for $100

        hardtop full doors. says it ran fine but one morning just started cranking and is moving in 2 weeks and doesnt want to take it with him

              I voted go for it. I completely agree with what Dana said. Even if you can't get it to run, which I am sure with the help of SiS you will. You can still make your money back on the part out, if not more

                  haha. jeep was posted last night he said he has 20 people ready to take it. he gets home at 5 tomorrow and the first person in his driveway with a 1000 bucks can take it. this is gonna be interesting
