5 years never been hassled by a cop anywhere....doorless, flareless, so on..i DD'ed it until jan 09

some others have but its super rare all things considered

usually the thinks ppl get pulled over for are being fender flareless (improper tire coverage), sometimes being doorless although it is legal some cops will harass you about it, and some think your more prone to get pulled over for stupid bs things like brake lights out and stuff

edit: ive only been hassled once but that was in rhode island for being doorless and flareless

Been going on 5 or 6 years now never had any issues with them. My tires were about 6" out no flares. No muffler spontaneous fires. Never an issue doorless. As long as you are not driving like a tool you will. Be fine.

no issues in nj as well. doorless top less with tires stickin way out from march-oct for 4 years now

i think there are a lot of factors involved. location, the appearance of what you drive and how you drive. i was driving a stock height xj, no flares, a large prerunner front bumper (one in avatar), flat black. in the course of 12k miles, i was pulled over 6 times. since owning my rubicon lj i've gotten pulled over 0 times in 3 years (40~k miles). i always drive speed limit, never do anything stupid. always wear seatbelt, carry proper stuff license, insurance and reg and have a front plate & rear plate. if i were to have done those 3 things i would have been much better off. regardless i could drive my 1998 s10 in the exact same manor and never ever get hassled.

only had problems in one town

that town had a local court so all monies went to them so they would nail you for whatever they could.

you dont get pulled over in CT very often cause all the cops think jeeps are cool for the most part haha

been pulled over 3 times in ct in my jeep and once in Rhode Island (5mph over speed limit ticket)

First time was a cop who pulled me over for no front license plate but let me go with a warning

Second time i was coming back from the casino around 11pm and a car was behind me right on my ass so i slowed down to 50mph to annoy him enough to pass me in the passing lane, was a cop... asked me why i slowed down and I told him i didnt like people tailgating me when they can pass in the passing lane.

third time I got pulled over for my tire went over the edge of the white line on the highway.

no ticket's in CT so far. pretty good considering I still have no front plate, no reverse lights, tires stick out past the front flares like 4 inches, no license plate light

I DD a 85 chevy 1/2 ton, on onetons and 39.5 inch iroks and about 4 inches of lift and have not yet been pulled over for any issues. I did get pulled once because the dumb ass cop thought i was doing donuts. which was funny.

IN my stock XJ I've been hit with smoking a cigar. Also trespassing (wheeling on the water department's land). I went doorless once and was harassed and talked to by the cops for 45 minutes but never ticketed. I don't drive like a dick most of the time, but when I do I never get pulled over.

ive gotten pulled over once for no doors but i was also in a parking lot with a ton of ricers and he wanted to bust my ass... he comes up did you know its illegal in the state of CT to drive w/o doors... i informed him no its not i let him have it back in his face.. he ended up lettin me go by saying yor jeep is bad ass...
