  • Keep an eye out for...

Hey guys, If any of you know someone or know where someone is sellling an BMW 02 - 05 E46 330i please let me know. After a lot of looking around and thinking, discussion on the Audi, and going back to the cars I really love, this is what Im going with for a DD.

Needs to be black/silver, manual, and would really prefer it to be a Sport package or ZHP under 50k.

    Will also consider grey.

If its not an Sport or ZHP, but meets everything else I will still look at it if its in really good condition.

Thanks in advance if anybody finds one... if its after I leave the country and you could take pictures for me and check the mech. state of the car that would be great. Will knows how to get ahold of me out of country.

Figure SIS I can cover from Jersey up to RI for me

They have common problems just like any car. I dont see them as unreliable or requiring excessive maintenance.

Oil sludge is a big thing with Audis, generally people arent doing proper maintenance or dont use synthetic.

Timing belts, water pumps are another. Normally around 70 -80k miles.

I use to work for Audi/Porsche. If I thought it was a crap car I def wouldnt be interested. You just have to look for certain problems in them.

Good luck with that search. I have only really seen a few USPs around here and they have never been for sale. Those are harder to find than S4s and all it really is a body package. I would just shoot for one with painted lowers and the mileage you are looking for.

In regards to maintenence, a few of my friends are big audi guys and they do a good amount of work themselves to keep costs down. My friend has a 03' 3.0 that has given him very little problems in the last 3 years of ownership and he loves that car.
          Coilovers, S4 swaybars, S4 front calipers/rotors

I actually found one at Autohaus in Lancaster here.

05 Black USP 6 speed manual with 43k about 20 mins from me, I happened to stop in and look at another one and they said they had that in transit, but the the salesman called me back yesterday with more information and said someone did put a deposit on it, if it falls through he is suppose to let me know.

That would be sick. I know when my buddy was looking, he gave up his search when he found the sick deal on his and the only USP he found was way overpriced. I would rock one without hesitation, but I would also settle for a nice painted lowers, coilovers one with the 3 spoke steering wheel without hesistation.

haha nahh I'm all set. I got my fix last month. I have family that used to live in west chester that now live in downingtown. Whenever I visit them I make a detour for some long acres.
